Frog and Toad in Hell

With the upcoming big screen release of Where the Wild Things Are by director Spike Jonze, I was trying to think of what other 50 page children's book could be mutated into a 2 hour flick. One of my favorite series of books was Arnold Lobel's Frog & Toad series, so I was considering that it would make a fantastic trilogy.

Harold "Frog" Kowalski and John "Toad" Kempler are private detectives in the early 1970s in Brooklyn, New York. These hard-boiled dicks are hired by a Russian immigrant to find out who kidnapped his daughter. With Frog sporting twin Webley & Scott revolvers and Toad carrying his Ithica 37 shotgun, they ask the hard questions - and deliver cold lead! But as the partners delve deeper into the mystery and the bodies pile higher around them, the answers may bring them face to face with the KGB - and change their friendship forever!

Starring Colin Farrell as Frog and DMX as Toad, and also featuring Shia Labeouf as Johnny Badger, Rachel McAdams as Judy Owl and Jessica Biel as Sally the Street Walking Squirrel, this action packed thrill ride is directed by acclaimed visionary Michael Bay.
